something a bit more serious?
May. 28th, 2009 09:28 ama proper update on what the hell has been going on with my life! D:
so this year has started with a little bit less than a bang. as soon as uni started it's been hectic with work. trying to meditate (without the ohms) whenever i can (like on the train. i like train rides. when there's little people. is that bad?)
and looking back on the past semester (WHICH HAS GONE BY SO QUICKLY RIGHT NOW) i've spent too much on paper, printing, craft & photography stuff (i spent like 100$ last week just on paper and printing for an assignment). other than uni, my life is pretty quiet. i feel swamped yet i realise i'm not doing THAT much. maybe it's all the uni work. i hang out with friends occasionally and the rest of the time is spent leisurely watching tv or reading. O___O i think i'm growing old.
also trying to find internship/mentoring. gave up but must do it for credit points.
i started getting into music again. i don't have the strong bonding ties to music like nabii does but i'm actually interested. particularly in the Grime movement. Before you say anything, it's NOT because of Dizzee Rascal. he's fun but meh.
and when i'm looking at all this music i'm listening too, THERE ARE SO MANY FEMALE SINGERS. as if i haven't found any good male artists. have i?
and the chillout factor is still pretty predominant, but it's fun to explore all these new movements and sub-hybrid genres, although it's hard to put anything into a category these days so i try not to. soon all music will be divided into it's particular artists. blah
god, just reading this entry is making me fall asleep.
all i'm looking forward to now is going to tokyo with katherine. for many reasons. i want to hone photography skills by then, just so i could add something to my portfolio and possibly use it for my major work (fat chance. but i could. maybe. the sick hoarding problems that i have. sick sick hoarding problems.) looking for design magazines and books. looking for WORK. among others.
i think lily allen is pretty. shut up.
